Vietnam finish second in ASEAN friendly cup
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s U16 national team finished in second position after a 1-0 loss to Indonesia in the final match of the 2018 Japan-ASEAN friendly tournament held in Japan on March 12.

In the match, coach Dinh The Nam changed the line-up from their last match against Thailand. Goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet replaced Nguyen Duy Dung.
Nguyen Quoc Hoang, Vo Minh Dan, and Dau Ngoc Thanh were given the chance to play against Indonesia, replacing Hoang Van Thong, Doan Chi Bao, and Ha Trung Hau.
Vietnam’s U16s played an attacking game in the first half against Indonesia and they created a few good chances but their profligacy let them down.
Still goalless, Indonesia grew into the second half, scoring the opener from the penalty spot in the 60th minute.
In the final minutes of the match, Vietnam’s U16s had at least two chances to score an equaliser, however, both Trung Hau and Nguyen Hoang missed their chances.
