Vietnam adds one more FIFA referee following latest recognition

VOV.VN - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has officially recognised Vietnamese official Le Vu Linh as fully meeting the criteria to become a referee of global football governing body FIFA.

After earning the title, referee Vu Linh will now be able to wear the FIFA logo on his shirt when on duty in the future.

Le Vu Linh, 34, from Vinh Long province became the fourth Vietnamese person to be recognised as a male FIFA referee. This comes after local officials Ngo Duy Lan, Nguyen Manh Hai, and Hoang Ngoc Ha also received FIFA male referee titles.

Furthermore, Vietnam also has three female FIFA referees, including Le Thi Ly, Cong Thi Dung, and Bui Thi Thu Trang.

Moreover, a total of three local female assistant referees and seven male assistant referees have also been acknowledged by FIFA. The country also has three FIFA-verified referees in futsal.
