U21 Vietnam women’s volleyball team secures convincing win in final match

VOV.VN - U21 Vietnam defeated the Dominican Republic 3-0 on August 16 in the 19th-place playoff of the 2025 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Women’s U21 World Championship.

Under coach Nguyen Trong Linh, the Vietnamese side maintained consistent form with minimal individual errors, while the Dominican Republic, though slightly favored on paper, struggled under pressure and made frequent mistakes, thus enabling Vietnam to claim a decisive victory.

The match concluded in just over an hour, with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-17. Outside hitter Quynh Huong stood out with 13 points, the highest tally among all players on both teams.

U21 Vietnam finishes the tournament in 19th place overall. Following the championship, players will return to their clubs to prepare for the second leg of the 2025 Vietnam Women’s Volleyball Championship.
