U16 PVF will compete in the Al Kass International Cup, scheduled for January 19-30, a tournament featuring several leading youth teams from around the world. The Vietnamese side has been drawn in the same group as U16 Barcelona, U16 PSG and U16 Kashiwa Reysol.

All matches will be played at stadiums inside Aspire Academy, the same venue cluster selected to stage upcoming editions of the U-17 World Cup.

The tournament will give U16 PVF an opportunity to test themselves against leading youth sides at top-tier venues.

The squad includes several players who recently impressed with Vietnam’s U17 team in the qualifiers for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2026, along with a number of talents from PVF’s U14 side that competed in the Northern Clubs U14 Championship 2025/2026.

U16 PVF will open their campaign against U16 Kashiwa Reysol (Japan) at 9:50 p.m. on January 20, 2026. They will then face U16 PSG (France) at 9:50 p.m. on January 22, before meeting U16 Barcelona in their final group match at 7:30 p.m. on January 24.

All fixtures will take place at Pitch No. 7, Aspire Academy, Doha, Qatar.

Australia claim title, Vietnam come third in regional U16 championship

Australia won the ASEAN U16 Girls’ Championship 2025 while Vietnam took bronze medal in a nail-beating third-placed match on August 29 in Surakarta, Indonesia.
