Two Vietnamese futsal players poised to join Japanese club

VOV.VN - Vietnamese futsal players Nguyen Minh Tri and Tran Thai Huy have signed a short-term deal with Y.S.C.C. Yokohama FC of Japan.

Thai Huy, in the number nine shirt, is set to play in Japan for a three-month period alongside his teammate Minh Tri.

The pair are scheduled to join the Japanese club from local futsal side Thai Son Nam on November 4 with their contracts lasting until January 12, 2020.

Y.S.C.C. Yokohama FC currently play in the J.League 2 in Japan and are targeting promotion to the top league in the near future.

With nine matches played in the league season so far, the Japanese club currently top the table with 25 points, three points above the team in second place. In total, the J.League 2 consists of eight teams.

Both Minh Tri and Thai Huy have expressed their delight at signing for the Japanese side and are keen to make a big impact in the Far East nation.

As two of the nation’s leading futsal players, the pair helped Thai Son Nam finish third in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Club Championship 2019.

They greatly contributed to the success of the Vietnamese futsal team at the Futsal HDBank Championships, during which Vietnam secured a third-place finish and progressed to the AFC Futsal Championship 2020 Finals.
