Under the MoU, the SAV, VTC and the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA) will work together to build a professional, sustainable and internationally connected esports ecosystem. The cooperation focuses on developing esports content in line with cultural industry orientations, promoting the digital sports economy and expanding the international presence of Vietnamese esports.

At the event, organizers introduced The Grand Esports 2026 series, which they aim to develop into an annual national-level tournament system. The program includes the Vietnam Esports National Cup 2026 (VENC), the Esports Grand Championship 2026 (EGC 2026), the Grand Esports Festival 2026 and The Grand Esports Awards 2026.

VENC 2026 is viewed as a key tournament for selecting and honoring top national esports players. The competition will run from June 1 to July 12, 2026 and is expected to feature titles including Crossfire and Au Mobile, with total prize money of around US$13,000.

Meanwhile, EGC 2026 will feature esports teams from several Asian countries and territories, including the RoK, Japan, China, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

In addition to competitions, the Grand Esports Festival 2026 will feature a range of cultural and entertainment activities, including cosplay events, thematic discussions, meet-and-greet sessions with professional players and a music gala featuring light shows.

The series will conclude with The Grand Esports Awards 2026, honoring individuals and organizations with notable contributions to Vietnamese esports, including players, coaches, production teams and businesses operating in the esports sector.
