According to Nguyen The Long, head of the wrestling department of the National Sports Administration, the event attracted top wrestlers, including 48 from Vietnam, with thrilling matches on the cards.

The three-day championship will help Bac Ninh province popularise its people and land to domestic and international friends while promoting wrestling in the locality, Vietnam and abroad.

It also aims to tighten solidarity among ASEAN member states, helping build a peaceful and prosperous bloc.
