The trophy will be exhibited throughout January 10 at AEON Mall Long Bien in Hanoi, before continuing its regional tour to Thailand and Malaysia, according to tournament organisers.

The Shopee Cup, officially known as the ASEAN Club Championship, is widely regarded as Southeast Asia’s equivalent of the AFC Champions League, bringing together 12 of the region’s top clubs to compete for the continental honour.

The 2025/26 group stage is being played in a home-and-away format and runs until February 5. The knockout phase, including two-legged semifinals and finals, is scheduled from May 6 to May 27.

Vietnam are represented this season by Hanoi Police FC and Nam Dinh FC, both of whom remain in contention after three rounds of matches. Hanoi Police FC have collected four points and currently sit fourth in Group A, while Nam Dinh FC lead Group B with a perfect record of three wins from three matches.

Several high-profile Vietnamese players, including Nguyen Van Toan and Tuan Anh of Nam Dinh FC, as well as Nguyen Quang Hai and Doan Van Hau of Hanoi Police FC, are expected to attend the trophy exhibition and interact with supporters.

The tournament is approaching a pivotal stage, with the fourth round of group matches scheduled for January 28 and 29. Both Vietnamese clubs have publicly stated their ambition to finish among the top teams and challenge for the title, reflecting growing expectations among domestic fans.

Thailand’s Buriram United FC won the inaugural Shopee Cup last May following a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Hanoi Police FC after both clubs played to a 5-5 aggregate draw in the two-legged finals.
