Glostar Group and Optrontec Vina Company will finance the shooting squad to the tune of US$200,000 and Sun Medical Centre will provide medical assistance and treat injuries.
General director of the National Sports Administration, Vuong Bich Thang said he hoped with this support, Vietnam shooting would gain high results in the future.
He added they would also support training and selecting more young talents, hold more tournaments and support outstanding players.
Vietnamese shooters will compete in 14 out of 20 categories in the upcoming Asian Games (ASIAD) to be held in Indonesia from August 18.
Hoang Xuan Vinh, who won a gold and a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, will carry the country’s hopes at the tournament in the 10m air pistol category, which is his forte.
To prepare for the ASIAD, Vinh and his teammates will have an intensive training session in the RoK next week and will compete in the World Shooting Cup in the RoK later this month.
