SEA Games 31: Vietnam grabs golds in aerobics, esports, tennis on May 22
VOV.VN - Athletes scored additional 14 golds for Vietnam on May 22, helping the hosts to retain their top place in the medal count at the ongoing 31st SEA Games.

Local cyclists Nguyen Thi That, Nguyen Thi Thi, Nguyen Thi Thu Mai, Bui Thi Quynh clinched golds in cycling events.
Le Hoang Phong and Tran Thuy Vy bagged two gold medals in the mixed pair and group events of aerobics while Nguyen Che Thanh, Le Hoang Phong, Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi, Vuong Hoai An, Nguyen Viet Anh dominated the group event to win gold.
Ly Hoang Nam pockets gold in men’s tennis singles while Tran Quyet Chien also won a gold medal in three-cushion carom after beating Nguyen Duc Anh Chien.
Gold medals also went to Vietnam’s muay Thai fighers Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat and Nguyen Doan Long in the muay event while former world champion Bui Yen Ly also earned gold in the event.
Vietnam won over the Philippines in the esports’ League of Legends and raid events to secure gold medals while Vietnamese fighter Le Thi Hien snatched a gold medal in the women's combat event (Vovinam) in the 60kg category.
Meanwhile, female boxers Nguyen Thi Tam and Vuong Thi Vy defeated the Philippines and Thai opponents to bag gold medals in the women's 51 and 57kg categories, respectively.
Vietnam maskman Nguyen Hoang Diep also earned gold in the men's flying saucer event.
As of 19:00 Vietnam won a total of 181 golds, leading the medal count, leaving behind Thailand and Indonesia in second and third places with 75 and 59 gold medals respectively.
