The terms of the deal will see Sabeco provide assistance for the Vietnamese men’s and women’s football teams, the men’s U22 and U23 squads, along with the Olympic team during both domestic and international tournaments which are held between June of this year and June of next year.
Le Hoai Anh, general secretary of the VFF, noted that the co-operation deal would serve to bring greater financial support and encouragement for the national team’s footballers, thereby helping to contribute to developing Vietnamese football.
Furthermore, Bennett Neo, general director of Sabeco, said the company is proud of supporting national football teams and hopes that the partnership can contribute to plenty of success in the future and ultimately bring glory to the country.
The national men’s football team has recorded plenty of achievements in international tournaments over recent years and has become a major source of pride for local people. Most recently, the team has progressed through to the Asian region’s third round of qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, thereby making history for Vietnamese football.
Previously, Sabeco had been the main sponsor of a Vietnamese sports delegation at the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2019, along with the national men’s football team at the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup held in 2018.
