Russian wins Challenger Vietnam Open

Russian Mikhail Youzhny grabbed the men’s singles title at the Hung Thinh Challenger Vietnam Open tennis tournament on October 29 in HCM City.

The former world No 8 defeated Australian, John Millman, 6-4, 6-4 in an 81-minute match at the Lan Anh Tennis Club.

The title won Youzhny, currently world No 101, US$7,200 bonus in cash and 90 points, which pushes him to No 87 in the world on October 30’s ranking release. Meanwhile, Millman enters the top 200 this week.

Earlier, Saketh Myneni and Vijay Sundar Prashanth of India beat Ben McLachlan and Go Soeda of Japan 7-6, 7-6.
