Patrick Lange, Holly Lawrence win 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam
Former IRONMAN 70.3 world champion Patrick Lange was the male winner of the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam Asia-Pacific Championship, while in the women category, Holly Lawrence from Wales was the champion.

The major racing event of the 2019 TECHCOMBANK IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam Asia-Pacific Championship on May 12 was a great success thanks to nice weather in Danang City.
Heavy rains hit the city on May 11, making many athletes worry about this morning’s event, especially the ocean swim course because bad weather would cause big waves.
However, the weather this morning was nice with a decent amount of sunshine and small-medium size waves.
Data of the website www.surf-forecast.com showed that average wave height was 0.7 meters, wind speed was 15 kilometers per hour, and the temperature was 29 degree Celsius.
The race started at 6 a.m., with the ocean swim course taking place first, followed by the bike course and finally the run course.
Speaking to the Saigon Times, many athletes said the weather was very nice and the race was amazing.
Tran Tan Dien, assistant for US athletes at the event, said, “The athletes are very excited as they can cycle and run in such beautiful weather.”
