Park Hang-seo, his assistants test negative for SARS-CoV-2
VOV.VN - Head coach of the Vietnam national football team Park Hang-seo and his three assistants have completed a 14-day quarantine period after returning to the country, with their results coming back negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the group have arrived back in Vietnam and will now undergo a period of self-isolation at home for another 14 days in line with regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.
During his isolation period, Hang-seo said that he spent the majority of his time planning tactics in preparation for the country’s remaining Group G fixtures in the Asian region’s qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
The remaining 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian region have been delayed until June due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At present, Vietnam are leading Group G with 11 points, two points higher than Malaysia in second. Elsewhere, Thailand are third with eight points, while the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are in fourth with six points, followed by Indonesia in the bottom with zero points.
