Over 1,000 join international marathon in Ha Giang
More than 1,000 runners, including 91 foreigners from 22 countries, joined a marathon tournament in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang on April 30.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Duc Quy said he hopes that after the annual tournament, each participant will serve as a communications worker to popularise the knowledge on the land and people of Ha Giang to foreign and domestic friends.
The run came within the framework of the activities marking the 100th anniversary of the province’s Khau Vai love market and announcing the UNESCO’s recognition of Dong Van Karst Plateau as a global geopark for the second time. It created a chance to cement and strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between Ha Giang and other provinces and cities in the countries and foreign localities.
