Nam beat Edward Bourchier at Thailand F3 event

Vietnam’s top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam defeated Edward Bourchier of Australia 6-2, 6-2 in the second round of the Thailand F3 Futures tennis tournament on June 21.

Earlier, Nam beat Charles Roberts of Thailand in the first round.

Nam, who recently achieved the best-ever Vietnamese ranking of 529th in the world, will meet Thomas Fancutt of Australia in the quarter-finals.

In the men’s doubles, Nam and his teammate Nguyen Hoang Thien beat pair Anthony Susanto and David Agung Susanto of Indonesia 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 in the quarter-finals.
