Ly Hoang Nam maintains top position in domestic tennis
VOV.VN - Vietnamese tennis player Ly Hoang Nam confirmed his position as the nation’s leading tennis player after winning the men's singles championship title during the recent National Tennis Championships-Hung Thinh Cup 2020.
During the men's singles final at the competition, Nam took on Trinh Linh Giang. Most notably, Giang went into the match after just winning in the men's doubles final for the Hai Dang Tay Ninh Club against pair Le Quoc Khanh and Pham Minh Tuan of the home team Hung Thinh - Ho Chi Minh City.
However, during the match Giang was only able to win three games against Nam, before ultimately going on to suffer a 6-2, 6-1 defeat.
In the women's singles, Tran Thuy Thanh Truc of Hung Thinh-Ho Chi Minh City enjoyed a 6-3, 6-3 victory over rival Nguyen Thi Mai Huong of Hai Duong province. This ensured a second championship win for her team following success in the mixed doubles championship title by pair Le Quoc Khanh and Dao Minh Trang.
