Liem undefeated as Gibraltar Chess Festival continues

In his sixth match of the tournament, Liem who has an Elo rating 2714, recorded a convincing win over Khademalsharieh Sarasadat of Iran who has an Elo rating of 2468 after 43 moves on January 28.

With 4 wins and 2 draws at the tournament, the Vietnamese grandmaster is currently ranked among the eight leading chess players in the competition.

Liem will next face Grandelius Nils of Sweden, Elo rating 2682, who beat No. 3 seed So Wesley of the United States, Elo rating 2765, during the sixth match.
