Liem shows poor performance at World Mind Games

Liem, the 2013 world blitz chess champion, grabbed only 4.5 points, with only three wins, three draws and five losses in the first-leg period at the Games, ongoing in Huai’an City, Jiangshu, China.

He will play in the second leg, with another 11 matches, for a berth in the top three.

Liem finished the rapid chess class with a bronze medal on December 11.
