Liem and Khoi put on strong displays at Sharjah Masters
VOV.VN -Vietnamese chess prodigies, Le Quang Liem and Nguyen Anh Khoi, have enjoyed a successful day after recording two draws in their fifth matches at the ongoing 2019 Sharjah Masters international chess tournament, which is taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

Liem has so far remained undefeated after five matches with a record of three wins and two draws. He finds himself among the second group of the tournament with four points while his rival retained his first-place position along with three other players with 4.5 points.
Liem will next face off against Nodirbek of Uzbekistan (Elo rating 2569) in the sixth round.
Liem’s teammate, Nguyen Anh Khoi, continued to display his talent in the sixth match of the tournament as he held Sjugirov Sanan of Russia (Elo rating 2667) to a draw despite losing the advantage of having the first move.
The 17-year-old boy will is set to compete against Nihal Sarin of India (Elo rating of 2578) next.
