Karate1 Premier League bronze medal for Vietnam

VOV.VN - Young Vietnamese Karatedo marital artist Nguyen Thi Ngoan snatched a bronze medal at the ongoing Karate1 Premier League in Dubai, the UAE from March 31-April 3, attracting 892 players from 42 countries around the world.

Ngoan defeated her Turkish rival Yakan Tuba 4-2 in the women’s U61kg category to bring home a sole medal.

Earlier, Ngoan showed her good performance after triumphing over Moochani Fakhrisadat from Iran and Willian NatalieKarina from the UK and Kornfred Noemie from Switzerland to enter the semi-final round.

Despite drawing with Suchankova from Slovakia at the semi-final round, she missed a chance to enter the final round because of the referee’s decision.
