Judo athletes win treasure trove of medals in Hong Kong

VOV.VN - Athletes from Vietnam competed at the Hong Kong International Judo Open on March 5-6 in seven weight categories for girls and seven for boys, bringing home a treasure trove of medals.

All told, the team won three gold, two silver and three bronze medals at the 2-day tournament that saw roughly 200 athletes from 12 counties around the globe vying for championship titles.

Winning gold were Nguyen Thi Nhu Y in the girls 78kg, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy in the girls 52kg and Nguyen Thi Huong in the girls 63kg.

Silver medals went to Tran Thanh Hien in the boys 73kg and Bui Minh Quan in the boys 81kg.

Bronze medals went to Nguyen Thi Dieu Tien, Huynh Nhat Thong and Hoang Thi Tinh in the girls 70kg, boys 66kg and girls 48kg, respectively.
