Held on August 16 in Higashiosaka, Osaka Prefecture, V1 MUSCLE WAR 2026 brought together Vietnamese athletes living, studying and working in Japan. The event was organised by the Kansai Vietnam-Japan Cultural and Sports Exchange Association in coordination with SVFIT Co., Ltd., under the auspices of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka.
Athletes competed in four categories: Men’s Physique, Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique and Bikini. Men’s Physique was further divided into three height classes (170 cm, 170 cm-175 cm, and above 175 cm), allowing athletes to compete against others with similar physiques.
According to organisers, V1 MUSCLE WAR aims not only to identify and honour outstanding bodybuilding athletes but also to provide a platform for Vietnamese people in Japan to connect, share training experience and promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
The tournament held for the second consecutive year reflects the growing diversity of activities within the Vietnamese community in Japan. Alongside traditional cultural, educational, and exchange programs, such a sporting event helps to shape an image of a Vietnamese community that is healthy, dynamic, united, and actively integrating into local society.
