According to a Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reporter on duty in Changzhou, China, the temperature had risen slightly on January 26.
However, the snow continues to fall, and the organizing board of the AFC U23 Championship 2018 must cover the pitch to ensure it is in a playable condition for the games.

The organizing board are putting all their effort into ensure the third place and final matches face no delays.

The VOV reporter said temperatures were hovering around -1 Celsius on January 26. The weather forecast is for rain, snow, and a dip in temperatures on January 27.

The frosty weather is difficult for Vietnamese players who are used to the warmth of a tropical country, while it seems easier for the Uzbek footballers who are acclimatised to such cold.
