Hanoi Police FC top Group E at AFC Champions League 2
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s Hanoi Police FC secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Tai Po FC (Hong Kong, China) at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi, on October 2, marking their first victory in the 2025–2026 AFC Champions League 2 and moving them to the top of Group E.

Taking an advantage of playing at home and a stronger squad, the hosts applied early pressure and opened the scoring in the 27th minute. Midfielder Le Van Do made a run down the right flank and crossed into the box for Rogerio Alves, whose shot deflected off a Tai Po defender into the net to give Hanoi Police FC a 1-0 lead.
Just five minutes later, Leo Artur set up another chance for Rogerio Alves, who calmly finished from close range to double the lead to 2-0 for coach Mano Polking’s side.
During the second half, Hanoi Police FC had several opportunities to extend their lead, but their forwards failed to take them.
It wasn’t until the 89th minute that the home team scored their third goal thanks to Phan Van Duc, who finished clinically to seal a 3-0 victory.
This victory over Tai Po FC earned coach Mano Polking’s team four points after two matches, temporarily putting them at the top of Group E.
In the other Group E match, Macarthur FC of Australia defeated Beijing Guoan of China 3-0.
Macarthur FC now have three points, putting them one behind Hanoi Police FC.
