The Ha Long Bay International Heritage Marathon is organized annually in November to promote the image of Vietnam in general and Ha Long City in particular that houses Ha Long Bay - a natural wonder that has been honored by UNESCO three times as the world natural heritage.
The race has been certified by the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) and the International Association of Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), and sponsored by the Vietnam Athletics Federation.
Ha Long Bay International Heritage Marathon has also been voted by Runner’s World UK, a famous marathon magazine globally, as one of the races with the most unique and beautiful running route on the planet.
