VOV.VN - The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned two lower-tier clubs, namely Phu Tho FC of Vietnam and Muhoroni Youth of Kenya for match manipulation, ordering both teams to be relegated to their respective third divisions, the world football governing body announced on May 2.

FIFA found Phu Tho FC guilty of involvement in activities related to match-fixing and decided to expel the club’s senior team from the Vietnamese Football League Second Division.
As a result, Phu Tho will be relegated to the Vietnamese Football League Third Division starting next season, according to FIFA’s official website.
On May 3, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) confirmed that Phu Tho FC had been officially removed from the Second Division. All of the team’s remaining matches this season have been canceled.
