FC Mobile Vietnam to vie for world championship title with four representatives
VOV.VN - Four Vietnamese esports players have qualified for the FC Pro Mobile World Championship 2026, marking a historic achievement for FC Mobile Vietnam following their impressive performance at the Mid-Season Playoffs 2026.
Taking place from October 21 to October 25 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK), the tournament will bring together 32 top players from across the world to compete for a total prize pool of US$250,000 and the inaugural World Championship title.
With Anh Tu, Hoang Bao, Cong Dao, and Gia Nam, Vietnam is expected to further solidify its standing on the international esports stage and pursue the ultimate goal of becoming world champions.
Earlier in August 2026, the FC Pro Mobile Mid-Season Playoffs 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, marked the debut of Vietnamese FC Mobile esports on the global professional stage.
The tournament brought together 24 elite players selected through competitive circuits spanning over 90 countries and regions. Vietnam was one of three nations, alongside China and the RoK, to be granted two direct qualification spots.
Vietnamese representative Anh Tu finished as the runner-up of the FC Pro Mobile Mid-Season Playoffs 2026, while Hoang Bao placed in the Top 8.
These achievements earned Vietnam two additional spots for the FC Pro Mobile World Championship 2026, bringing the country's total number of representatives to four a major milestone for the local FC Mobile esports ecosystem.
The FC Pro Mobile World Championship 2026 represents the first-ever World Championship in FC Mobile esports history, with the champion set to walk away with US$60,000.
The tournament consists of two main stages: the Group Stage and the Knockout Stage. In the Group Stage, 32 players will be divided into eight groups of four, competing in a single round-robin format with Best-of-2 (BO2) matches, with the top two players from each group advancing to the Round of 16.
The Round of 16 will follow a Best-of-3 (BO3) format, the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be Best-of-5 (BO5), and the grand final will be decided by a Best-of-7 (BO7) series.
The competition will span five days: the Group Stage from October 21–22, the Round of 16 on October 23, the quarter-finals on October 24, and both the semi-finals and grand final on October 25.
In addition to the professional competition, the final day will feature a Creator Showmatch inspired by the Ballon d'Or, showcasing special guest participants.
