Moving forward, another local wushu athlete will compete in the women's taolu event on July 13.
This year, the nation has sent a sporting delegation to compete for medals in four sports, women's beach handball, three-cushion billiards, muay Thai, and wushu at the 2022 World Games in the US.
At the previous event hosted in Poland back in 2017, Vietnam won one gold medal through muay athlete Bui Yen Ly.
The World Games is an international multi-sport event which includes sports that are not contested in the Olympics. The event is hosted every four years and usually takes place one year after the Summer Olympics.
The competition is scheduled to conclude on July 17.
