Da Nang hosts LCP 2025 eSports Finals Weekend
The 2025 League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP 2025) Finals Weekend will take place on September 20–21 at the Tien Son Sports Arena in the central coastal city of Da Nang, following the event's official launch on September 19.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, noted that the tournament would highlight Vietnam’s growing position in international eSports while showcasing Da Nang as a dynamic, friendly city with rich cultural, sporting and tourism potential.
The Finals Weekend will bring together three of the region’s strongest teams – Team Secret Whales from Vietnam, CTBC Flying Oyster and PSG Talon, both from Taiwan, China – selected from eight contenders competing throughout the season. All three finalists have already secured their places at the League of Legends World Championship, scheduled to be held in China in late 2025.
League of Legends, developed by Riot Games and published in Vietnam by VNGGames, is one of the world’s most popular eSports titles. From 2025, Riot Games has restructured its competition system into five major regions, namely the Republic of Korea (LCK), China (LPL), the Americas (LTA), Europe-Middle East-Africa (LEC) and Asia-Pacific (LCP).
Thao noted that selecting Da Nang as the host city would not only give local fans the opportunity to enjoy top-level matches, but also help boost tourism, draw international visitors, and enhance the city’s prospects as a future hub for regional and global eSports.
Alongside the matches, spectators can enjoy a vibrant eSports atmosphere with artistic performances blending traditional and modern culture, interactive entertainment, meet-and-greet sessions with professional players and celebrities, and hands-on gaming experiences.
The tournament will be broadcast live across multiple global platforms with multilingual commentary to reach a worldwide audience.
The event is organised by Riot Games in collaboration with FPT Corporation, VNGGames and other professional partners. The organisers pledged to deliver an international-standard production, ensuring top quality in competition management, broadcasting and operations, thereby contributing to the sustainable growth of eSports in Vietnam’s digital era.
