Cyclist places second in Tour of Thailand

Nguyen Thi That of Vietnam missed the yellow jersey in the last few minutes of the Tour of Thailand cycling tournament on April 9.

That was the leading athlete after winning the first two stages, but she finished third in the last stage of the event, which ran around Chiang Mai for 85km, with a time of 2hr 51.49min. The stage winner was Thailand’s Somrat Phetradin, while Bjornsrud Miriam of Norway’s Hitec Products crew was second.

Somrat, thus, won the yellow jersey with a total time of 7:21.44, That (7:21.71) came second, and Miriam (7:21.84) was third.

However, the Vietnamese grabbed the green jersey for being the best cyclist.

Vietnam finished fourth in the team ranking. Thailand came first, followed by Japan and Hitec Products.
