Bluffs Ho Tram Strips wins ‘Best Golf Course in Vietnam 2017’

The results of the voting were unveiled at a ceremony in Hanoi on November 31. The voting was conducted from January 1 to August 31 2017 through the website of Vietnam Golf Magazine. This year’s event received great support with more than 86,000 votes for the ‘Best Golf Course in Vietnam 2017’ award and 18 other titles.

This is the second time the Bluffs Ho Tram Strip has won the prestigious award. The golf course was put into operation in 2013. It is the only golf course in Vietnam which has been ranked 74th in the World Top 100 Golf Course in 2016 and 2017 by GolfDigest.

Sam Thomas, Golf Development Manager of Golf Environment Organization (GEO),said that this year, organizers have paid special attention to environmental protection. 

He noted that golf courses need to conserve resources and create community values as well as promote the sustainability and image of golf in the long-term.

The voting for Best Golf Course in Vietnam was held by Vietnam Golf Magazine in collaboration with the Vietnam Golf Association, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, and the General Department of Physical Training and Sports, who aim to publicize the potential of golf tourism in Vietnam. This year, the jury panel drew the participation of representatives from the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.
