Around 5,000 locals and foreigners to race in Cat Ba international marathon
VOV.VN - Nearly 5,000 domestic and foreign runners are set to take part in the Cat Ba international marathon in the northern port city of Hai Phong on October 19, said organisers Vietnam Television (VTV) and Loc Phat Bank (LP Bank).
Fantastic Cat Ba Sunset 2024, scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m., is not just a race, it's a journey of self-discovery and an unforgettable emotional experience, said organisers, adding runners will immerse themselves in the dynamic and open atmosphere of stunning nature and the passionate spirit of sports.
The beach track will provide divisions for both men’s and women’s competitions at five km, 10km, and 21km.
Runners will have the chance to witness the beauty of the various beaches of Cat Ba island during the race.
The total prize money on offer stands at VND500 million.
The race will be live broadcast on VTV2 channel from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on October 19.
