AFC President congratulates Vietnam on victory at AFF Cup

VOV.VN -Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), has sent his congratulations to the Vietnamese men’s national football team on their victory at the AFF Cup after beating Malaysia 3-2 on aggregate in the final.

"It is my pleasure to extend to you and the Vietnam Football Federation, my best wishes and heartfelt congratulations on winning the ASEAN Football Federation's Suzuki Cup 2018 at the My Dinh Stadium," Shaikh Salman said to Le Khanh Hai, President of the Vietnam Football Federation, on AFC’s official website.

He also gave his compliments to the Vietnamese national football team led by Korean head coach Park Hang-Seo on their achievement and excellent performances throughout the competition.

“I wish them all the best in their preparations for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2019," AFC President added.

Korean President Moon Jae-in also congratulated Vietnam for their achievement of winning the AFF Cup on his Facebook page on December 16.
