21 golds put Vietnam temporarily atop SEA Shooting Championship
VOV.VN - Vietnam has claimed 21 gold, 13 silver, and 8 bronze medals to temporarily take the lead at the 47th Southeast Asia Shooting Championship 2025 in Thailand.

Vietnamese athletes won 9 gold, 7 silver, and 1 bronze in individual events. On October 12, Pham Quang Huy secured gold in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol, while Nguyen Van Quan took first place in the men’s 50m rifle. The team also earned two gold medals in team events.
Hosts Thailand ranked second with 9 gold, 15 silver, and 13 bronze medals, followed by Indonesia with 8 gold, 8 silver, and 4 bronze. Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines completed the standings.
The championship, which began on October 9 and runs through October 15, features hundreds of athletes from across Southeast Asia, including 44 from Vietnam. The tournament also serves as a preparatory event for athletes ahead of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) later this year in Thailand.
