1,000 athletes join charity run to fight against heart disease
VOV.VN - As many as 1,000 professional, semi-professional, and amateur athletes are set to take part in Viettel Fastest 2020, a charity run which will be held in Hanoi with the aim of raising funds for children suffering from heart disease.
The event will see participants compete in a 10km run around pedestrian streets in the capital on October 4.
During the launching ceremony for the occasion held on September 25, the organisers said they are expecting to earn VND450 million from the competition, with all proceeds to be sent to a charity programme to provide surgeries for disadvantaged children suffering congenital heart defects.
