Doan Van Thai, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee shared his experiences in launching youth movements with a delegation of the Australian Political Council in Hanoi on September 21.

During a reception for the Australian delegation, led by Dr. Andrew Southcott MP, Member of the Australian Parliament, Mr Thai told the guests about the activities of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the young volunteer movement in Vietnam.

The Australian delegation, on a working visit to Vietnam from September 20-29, is scheduled to work with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Ministry of Construction, the National Assembly Committee for External Relations, the Museum of Ethnology, the Vietnam Women's Union, the municipal Youth Union of HCM City and the provincial Youth Union of Quang Ninh province.

The HCM Youth Union Central Committee and the Australian Political Council have regularly exchanged representative delegations since 1993.
