Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan presented Golden Globe awards to 10 outstanding young people in science and technology in Hanoi on December 29.
The award honours young talents in information technology (IT), the medicine-pharmaceutical technology, bio-technology, and environmental technology.

Deputy PM Nhan said he hopes the awardees will make greater efforts to contribute to boosting scientific and technological research and application and help the country keep up with the world in this field.

The Deputy PM also commended the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology for organising the Golden Globe awards.

Launched in 2003, the prizes aim to encourage young people to study and master science and technology.
