Young ‘Chinese journalists’ make Vietnamese Embassy visit

VOV.VN - Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi received 40 Chinese students aged 8-15 from the southern provinces, cities, and autonomous regions of China on February 1, who are taking a “young reporters” training course provided by Hong Kong Home and Abroad News Press.

These young reporters wanted to personally meet and interview the Vietnamese ambassador in order to gain a deeper insight into Vietnam and Vietnam-China relations.

At the meeting, Ambassador Khoi briefed the young Chinese reporters on Vietnam’s land and people, the history of Vietnam-China relations, the political, cultural, and social similarities between the two countries, and the bilateral traditional friendship established by the late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong which has been nurtured by the two countries' subsequent generations of leaders.

He said that the relics of revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh and other Vietnamese revolutionary patriots in the early 20th century are now being better preserved at some Chinese localities such as Guangdong and Guangxi.

The diplomat also reviewed prominent achievements in the bilateral relations in economics, trade, people-to-people exchanges, and cooperation between the 7 Vietnamese border provinces and two Chinese provinces of Guangxi and Yunnan.
