Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on November 21 sent condolences to families of the victims of the whirlwinds and hailstorms in Ha Long city, northern Quang Ninh province.

The strong winds and hailstorms occured at 7a.m on November 21, leaving 13 dead, 4 missing and 21 injured. The natural calamity also caused some property damage.

The Prime Minister asked the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee to search for the missing and quickly assist families of the victims.

The Prime Minister also requested the National Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control, the National Committee on Rescue and Search, as well as other relevant agencies, to cooperate with the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee to stabilize the situation and implement measures to minimize the impact of future natural calamities.
