Tiago Vieira reviewed his federation’s activities over the past years and discussed a plan to hold the 17^th World Student and Youth Festiva, which is scheduled to be held in 2010.

He said he has spent much time studying Vietnam’s history, especially the movements advanced by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union during the past struggle for independence and the current process of national construction and development.

For his part, secretary Vinh asserted that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union will assist WFDY activities and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese young people to learn about WFDY.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee will soon present its plan to participate in the 17^th World Student and Youth Festival, he added.
