The World Bank (WB) will provide Vietnam with a non-profit credit of more than US$4 billion to support its development and poverty efforts for the next five years.
The credit is part of the WB's 2007-2011 Country Partnership Strategy for Vietnam, which has been approved by its Board of Executive Directors.
A ceremony to announce the strategy will be held in Hanoi on February 6 under the chairmanship of the WB Vice President for Asia and the Pacific, James Adam, and the Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Phung Khac Ke.
