The Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) has provided US$50,000 for victims of recent flash floods in Russia.

On July 7, historical flash floods swept through the southern Russian region of Krasnodar, killing nearly 200 people and injuring over 300 others, and submerging thousands of houses.

Total property losses are estimated at about 4 billion RUB.

International humanitarian aid has arrived in the disaster-hit region, with more than US$300,000 from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Azerbaijan has also sent 300 tonnes of goods in emergency aid to the victims.
