Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Hien congratulated the achievements recorded by generations of the ensemble’s members over the years.
He said he believes that with better investment in human resources, modern equipment and infrastructure, the ensemble will bring its traditions into full play and contribute to the preservation of the character of Vietnamese folk music.
Since the ensemble was founded in 1949, many of its musicians and singers have become popular and famous.
Over the past 60 years of development, the ensemble has received various orders and medals for its great contributions to national development. 38 artists have been granted the titles of “people’s artist” and “meritorious artist”.
