A groundbreaking ceremony was held at 58 Quan Su, Hanoi on September 20 for construction of the VND186-billion National Radio Broadcasting Centre with 15 stories (including two basements) on an area of 17,000 sq m.

Addressing the ceremony, VOV General Director Vu Van Hien said the project is of great magnitude, as it is a modern National Radio Station. Once completed, the centre will effectively serve the cause of radio broadcasting, helping to convey the voice of Vietnamese people across the world. The General Director also called on construction units to ensure the construction quality and progress of the project.

The National Radio Broadcasting Centre is scheduled for completion by 2008.
