VOV, Military Zone 5 cooperate in disseminating information on national defence
Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Military Zone 5 signed an agreement on May 3 for promoting information dissemination on national defence and security.
Signatories were VOV General Director Professor Doctor Vu Van Hien, and Commander of the Military Zone 5 Lieutenant General Nguyen Trung Thu.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trung Thu highlighted the heroic traditional of the Military Zone 5’s armed forces and their key tasks.
He praised VOV’s effective cooperation and support in information promotion activities, particularly the rescue work during recent floods and storms.
“The newly-signed agreement is of great significance in ensuring national defence and security” he said.
Prof. Dr. Vu Van Hien spoke of the remarkable development of VOV in recent years, as well as VOV’s various types of media – radio, TV, print and online.
He underlined that recently VOV signed an agreement on information dissemination with many ministries and central agencies, such as the Governmental Office, the National Assembly’s Office, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ministry of National Defence.
“The signing of the agreement with the Military Zone 5 will contribute greatly to increasing the quality of information dissemination about national defence and security on VOV channels, especially in rescue work”, he said.
