VOV launches FM transmission station in Phu Quoc

The transmission at a total cost of VND50 billion will serve the transmission of VOV radio and TV programs to more than 100,000 populace in Phu Quoc, tourists and nearby fishing boats.

The broadcasting service will improve communications in national sovereignty protection, search and rescue operations to mitigate disaster consequences.

VOV President Nguyen The Ky said the national broadcaster plans to install a 50 Kw transmission and more facilities to support digital TV broadcasting in the coming time.
