VOV channels and individuals honoured

During the ceremony, the board of emulation and commendation announced Hanoi municipal People’s Committee’s decision to granted the “good people, good works” award to Vu Minh Tuan, Director of the VOV Transport Channel, and Dang Thi Hue, Deputy Director of the VOV Ethnic Language Channel (VOV4).

In response to the VOV emulation campaign, the VOV channels including the six broadcasting channels, the Information Centre, VOV weekly news and VOVNews online, have all held a variety of activities to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of political tasks.

The emulation campaigns have contributed much to VOV development. One of the channels was recognized as the labour hero during the renewal period while the other four channels were granted the government’s emulation flag. 40 departments and individuals were awarded the Labour Orders and Certificates of Merit.

Speaking at the ceremony, VOV Deputy General Director Hoang Minh Nguyet highly praised the achievements made by the editorial section which will be the motivation for the development of the section.

The Deputy General Director also asked departments and individuals to take the initiative in participating in emulation campaigns and improving their ability, exploiting the strengths of a national broadcasting station.

Also at the ceremony, the editorial section launched an emulation campaign to celebrate the VOV communist party congress, VOV Trade Union Congress, VOV 65^th anniversary, and the Thang Long-Hanoi millennial anniversary.
