Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) is an important bridge in Vietnam-China relations, Chinese Ambassador Sun Guoxiang said during a visit to VOV on March 5.

At the reception, the VOV General Director Vu Van Hien said VOV is the first national communication agency to employ four audiovisual mediums: radio, television, print newspaper and online newspaper. VOV has constantly improved and developed as an effective organ of the Party and State and the voice of people.

VOV has established close relations with the Chinese radio and television system, including China Central Radio, China Radio International and local radio stations in Yunnan, Guangxi and Guangdong provinces.

Relations between Vietnamese and Chinese radio and television stations have developed well. Since its establishment, VOVTV has taken advantage of numerous materials from China Radio International.

Ambassador Sun expressed his delight at the visit to VOV and highly praised the broadcaster’s efforts in faithfully executing the task of information dissemination with which it has been charged by the Party, State and people. He said he is willing to help VOV to strengthen relations with Chinese communications agencies.
