VNU-HCM gains higher world rankings by subject

VOV.VN - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has earned a greater reputation worldwide after being listed in the QS World University Rankings by Subjects 2025 released by the UK-based education organisation Quacquarelli Symonds.

This year, the university has 15 subjects rated in the top 500 world universities.

They include Engineering – Petroleum (51st - 100th),  Engineering – Civil and Structural (201st-275th), Linguistics (251st-300th), Mathematics (201st-350th), Accounting – Finance (301st-375th), Politics and International Studies (301st-400th), Chemical Engineering (351st - 400th), Economics and Econometrics (351st - 400th), Agriculture and Forestry (351st - 400th), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (351st - 400th), Computer Science and Information Systems (451st - 500th), Materials Science (400th-450th), Engineering- Mechanical (451st-500th), Environmental Science(401st - 450th), and Business & Management Studies (401st - 450th).

The 2025 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject features a total of 55 individual subjects across five broad subject areas, namely Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Research citations per paper, the H-index, and International Research Network (IRN).

This year, nearly 1,700 schools of 148 countries and territories were assessed as part of the rankings.
